A: We recommended Red Jacket on opening day of the 2009 season. So while we're not crazy about publicizing the fact that the sports team from your area is superior to the sports team from another area, Red Jacket is definitely the way to do it. The way not do it?   • 1 oz rye whiskey
  • 1 oz cognac
  • 1 oz sweet vermouth
  • 1/4 oz Benedictine liqueur
  • 2 dashes Peychaud's bitters
  • 2 dashes Angostura bitters

Build all ingredients in an ice-filled rocks glass. Stir. Garnish with a maraschino cherry.
